Marketing Coordinator (Part-time)

The Marketing Coordinator enhances CICC’s visibility by developing and implementing marketing campaigns, increasing brand awareness, and supporting all fundraising efforts. Marketing coordinator is expected to be creative individual with fantastic communication skills and excellent time management. Desired working hours are from 10am-2pm from Monday to Friday, however this position requires flexibility. The Marketing Coordinator may be required to work outside of the scheduled hours including some weekends, based on the Crisis Centre’s needs. 

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Develops and implements marketing strategy plans and campaigns via digital advertising and social media
  • Increases brand awareness, enhances CICC’s visibility as well as promotes and improves access to CICC’s services
  • Manages CICC’s social media, creates engaging content that promotes audience interaction, increases audience presence on company sites, and encourages audience participation
  • Maintains the marketing calendar according to specific events and promotes it on social media campaigns
  • Manages and updates content on CICC website
  • Organizes all radio and television advertising and appearances, implements press releases
  • Assists all fundraising efforts with pre-and post-event marketing initiatives
  • Attends Marketing Committee meetings and Fundraising Committee meetings
  • Provides support to CICC Board’s Marketing Director and Fundraising Director and assist in executing marketing and fundraising initiatives
  • Coordinates and organizes all marketing assets for ongoing campaigns and projects with volunteers
  • Works in collaboration with CICC Outreach Coordinator to develop and distribute monthly newsletter
  • Complies with CICC confidentiality policy and mandatory reporting child abuse policy

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing/communications or related (essential)
  • Two years of experience in content management, creative writing, advertising concepts and media negotiations
  • Critical thinker with strong problem-solving and research skills, solid organizational skills and details oriented
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Creative mind with superb written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Photoshop, and web editing packages
  • Knowledge of domestic violence, sexual assault, child safeguarding preferred but not essential
  • Must possess sensitivity, maturity, dedication, strong work ethics and ability to work in a stressful environment
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as on own initiative and with little supervision

Compensation: Salary CI$18.00 p/hour plus statutory benefits.
